About Me

Deborah Baker, Counselor MA, HHP, LMHC, CCTP, CIMHP

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Holistic Health Practitioner, I understand the courage it takes to seek help and the vulnerability that comes with opening up to a stranger about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It takes a lot of strength to face difficult emotions and challenges, and I commend you for considering therapy as a way to support yourself on your journey towards healing and growth.

The mind, body, and spirit are all interconnected, and taking care of your mental health can have a positive impact on your physical health as well. In fact, research has shown that there is a strong connection between the two. For example, chronic stress and negative emotions can have a negative impact on the immune system and increase the risk of physical health problems such as heart disease and diabetes (1). On the other hand, practicing self-care, such as through therapy, can help reduce stress and improve overall well-being (2).

There are many different reasons why someone might consider starting therapy. Perhaps you are struggling with anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues. Maybe you are going through a difficult life transition, such as a breakup, a move, or the loss of a loved one. Or perhaps you just want to work on personal growth and self-improvement. Whatever your reason, therapy can be a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain insight and understanding, and develop coping skills and strategies to help you navigate life's challenges.

As a therapist, I am here to listen and support you without judgment. I will work with you to identify your goals for therapy and help you develop a plan to achieve them. Together, we can explore any patterns or underlying issues that may be contributing to your struggles, and I can help you learn new ways of coping and managing your emotions.

You deserve to live a happy, healthy, and fulfilling life, and seeking therapy is a step toward achieving that.

How I Can Help
